UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, speaking at the UN debates, stated that he does not understand what Russia is doing there, particularly after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, according to The Guardian. During his speech, Starmer mentioned the victims of a Russian missile in Lviv - three daughters and the wife of Yaroslav Bazylevych. Reflecting on this, he stated that he doesn't understand what Russia is doing in the United Nations after its invasion of Ukraine. "I wonder how Russia can show its face in this building," he said. According to Starmer, Russia is behind "the greatest violation of the charter in a generation". UK Prime Minister noted that Russia's invasion of Ukraine was illegal, threatened global security and had caused “colossal human suffering”. "Six hundred thousand Russian soldiers have also been killed or wounded in this war. And for what? The UN charter, which they sit here to uphold, speaks of human dignity. Not treating your own citizens as bits of meat to fling into the grinder," he said. Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that Russia is committing a crime of genocide by abducting children in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories. He noted that this is no different from what the German Nazis did.
