Medical Assistance for Ukrainian Children
Since 2010, our affiliates have worked closely with pediatric orthopedic surgeons in Ukraine and have established relationships with skilled high-integrity providers and top institutions. Until May 2025, our humanitarian and medical support activities have been entirely self-funded.

Due to the magnitude of the need, we can facilitate donations and support with medical facilities in Ukraine with great needs and where your support will make a positive difference. Support opportunities include:

-
Cash donations. Donations are put to work where they are most impactful. This includes the cost of specialized orthopedic implants, equipment, and medications for Ukrainian children who do not have means or access, purchase of urgently needed equipment and supplies identified by frontline partners that can save lives, repairing or modernizing facilities to improve access, and other essential needs.
-
Medical equipment, supplies, and books are greatly needed, whether new or lightly used. We'll pay for shipping.
-
On-site collaboration for qualified medical personnel. Work with English-speaking pediatric orthopedic surgeons in Zakarpattya, Ukraine's safest region.

We partner with Shield of Freedom to provide tax deductible donation receipts for your donations, whether cash or in kind. Any monetary donations should be made out to Shield of Freedom, a registered 501(c)(3) organization (EIN #93-3096298).

Stewardship and Accountability
100% of your donation goes directly to medical facilities in Ukraine. We donate our own time and money and do not take any administrative costs.

Recipient organizations are carefully vetted and have a long track record of outstanding stewardship. We won't send your donations anywhere that we don't send our own and of which we do not have direct personal knowledge.

We'll provide follow-up information, photos, and notes from pediatric hospitals in Ukraine about how your donation is used. If you desire, we can put you in direct contact with the facilities and providers and can provide translation of correspondence at no cost.
